Being Autistic
Art Therapy & Psychoeducation Group

'Being Autistic' is an art therapy and psychoeducation project for Autistic adults developed by Brightfire CIC in collaboration with The Cartshed Charity at their woodland site in Herefordshire. Over 12 sessions participants have an opportunity to explore their autistic identity, connect with peers, develop strategies for improving mental health and wellbeing whilst connecting with the natural environment.

It`s a fantastic place to share experiences with other Autistic people, in an autistic-led group. Each session is centered around discussion on a topic, such as masking or autistic identity. We share strategies, whilst having the opportunity to create artworks or crafts alongside each other.

We are currently running the 9th cohort of the Being Autistic programme.
